I was hoping this site might start rolling again but to me it looks just the opposite !

I come here almost everyday now just to check on things but have not been happy with my finding, which has been no one is posting here anymore, well almost no one.

If anyone reads this thread, please put up some ideas and post up things you have done to your Rangers, other sites have a lot of info being passed around why not here.

I konw this site is called “Generation-EDGE” but most the EDGE info can be applied to all Rangers.

This was the first Ranger Site I logged in on so I will be sad to see it leave us because of lackof interest, not to say that will happen but it could.

Post up your Ranger info please !

later.

I drop in every now and again but see less and less all the time. I don't own a Ranger and havn't for a number of years. Even went to a Heep for a while. Then came back to a RBV (explorer). When you post up things and get no response, it doesn't inspire you to continue to do so.

I've been around Generation edge when it was .com not .info. This site was my go to site for many years.

As for my 1996 Explorer. It went under a major renovation last fall. It was an AWD 347 stroked unit. Then I decided I wanted dedicated selectable 4wd and a lift with bigger tires. So I swapped to a BW4406 manual shift transfer case and a 3" BL with 1.5" torsion twist and warrior shackles for the rear. Total lift about 4.5" which gave room for 285/70R17 (33") goodyear duratracs on my 17x9" cobra R replica wheels. Everything works great, even the 4x4 HI and 4x4 Lo lights work in the dash. I can put in in 4 Hi at highway speeds, no clunks or nothing. This is the way FORD should have built the explorer.

Only problem I have now is my Edelbrock IAS shocks are gone and it could be due to the lift and how they are extended longer. So I got some new RS5000's made for 0-2" lift for front and back. Since I don't care for the white shock look, i'm going to scuff and spray them a silver/aluminum color with the red boots. In addition to that I picked up a Trick Flow 8.8" cast aluminum diff cover with the stud girdle and drain plug. In my mind it will go with the Trick flow intake, and valve covers i've got under the hood.

I stop by every night too, pretty much. Maybe 1 night a month I don't at least stop in and see if anything is going on. Post a little and read what's new if there is anything. I guess I'll do that as long as the board stays here, which judging by it being that way for the past few years it's probably going to stay.

Truck wise, not much. I got more into motorcycles about 5 years ago and spend most of my time and money on them. But the old Ranger continues to be the most dependable vehicle I've ever had, it turned over 141,000 miles today and still has the original belts, hoses, antifreeze, etc. on it. I've changed plugs twice, front brakes and rotors twice, rear brakes once, and that's it. Nothing has yet failed on the engine or anywhere on the chassis. It did shut down on me once last summer and I traced it to my Apten chip not working, so I removed it and all's been well since.

Generation-edge.com was my first site too. Was referred to it by John Griggs. Still check here at least once a week to see whats up.
I traded my 2002 edge for a 2010 sport.
Love the Rangers and wanted to get a new one bfore they disappeared, and totally agree on being the most reliable vehicles.
Would love the site to be more active again, but I think all Ranger sites will slowly die as the years go by since last Rangers been mfgd.

Stop by every now and then, read a little bit, post even less. I've always been that way. I tend to listen (read) a lot more than I speak (post).
Still have my 01 Ranger, 222K miles. at 183K lost oil pressure while under full throttle beating a ricer, Did quite a bit of damage, instead of rebuilding it I replaced the 3.0 with a reman. long block 3.0. Still drive it daily, I may never get rid of this truck!

I post when I can but my truck has ' writers block ' right now and theres not much I can do to it that the laws in my State will allow at this point. Once they are figured out, I will be posting what I will be doing.

Something to remember though, even though this site is ' public ', its kind-of selective. Its not really watered down and its a much smaller site then it was in its hay-days.

What does ' factory ' mean?

I'm keeping my head down and my powder dry. My truck is currently is in need of some mechanical attention in the trans and maybe in the engine. I am waiting for the cosmic forces to align, then she will rise again. Stay tuned to this same bat channel.

I do check in on this site every day. As long as I (and Zoomie) can still punch a keyboard GE will be alive. Maybe kinda quiet, but alive!

I've still got my truck with 135K and I've had to replace a few wear and tear items but nothing that has keep her down more than a week. I'm looking at getting a new car but still keep the truck till it doesn't go anymore.

Good to see some activity.
I am working on somevLED Lighting for the cup holders, nothing too bright and not finished yet and still have my bumper project and the stereo to finish up, so I will be keeping this truck for while yet.

I heard Frod is still thinking on a return of the Ranger though; sometime in 2014 or so and yes it will probably be that funny looking WORLD Ranger, not for me though.
I want my truck to look like a truck.

Well, I've been busy with life. I'm getting married on June 16, 2013!!!!

I'm still riding around in the ranger and I still got the 79 Bronco. I swapped the torque converter in the Bronco awhile back cause the 1800 stall is too much for the street so I got a 1200 stall now.

Also I'll be staying in PA for awhile so looks like i better get use to it!

Congrats Cody!

Be careful with the use of yes dear. What ever you do don't say it sarcastically.
