I picked up an OHC from a '99 Explorer yesterday. Everything I have found only shows wiring to '03.

Does anybody know of a wiring how-to on the '04+ Rangers?

BTW, my '04 doesn't have map lights, so where would I get the map light power from?

Does the dome light wiring then just go to the dome light?

I assume when you say dimmer module, you are talking about the dimmer switch?

What about the Blue/Red wire at the console plug for dimming? Do I tie it into the same wire I tie the map lights into?

Thanks Bob!

The dome light color code didn't change from 2003 to 2004 - still black/light blue and easily accessed at the facory dome.

The 2004~2006 night illumination is still on the light blue/red. It can be found at many places in the dash including the LB/RD at the dimming module or the LB/RD at the audio HU.

The Dimming Module is mostly hidden behind the dash fascia and contains the wheel that controls the level of the dash night illumination.

Thanks for your help Bob!

I plan on doing an updated OHC install for the '04-'06 Rangers. Hopefully you won't mind me using this information.
