Is it possible to add Titles to the posts ?
I know we should read all of the news but some just isn't interesting and I do not want to waste my time pulling them up just to close them again.
If there is a MUST READ, then it should be posted as such and all members should get a PM...
Just thinking out loud.
thanks

Do you mean an individual title for each post, within a thread?
What you may find interesting, others may not and vice-versa. |

I think you mean the Generation-Edge News board, not General-Edge News.
And you're probably talking about all those in there that just say "Heads Up Everyone", right? Robin started them that way and we just kept up with it. Makes folks read all of them to find out what they say, instead of picking and choosing. |

I was more than a bit confused by the opening post, but I think you hit the nail on the head.
But to offer an opinion ...
I've been a member of this site from very early on. I was a member of the Generation-Edge.com site as well. I have to say that I share Robin's observation that the two sites have brought together a bunch of people who became a community. I've only ever met probably 5 members face to face. But I consider most, if not all, friends. If I have a question, or a favor to ask, I know where to start.
The Generation-Edge News board provides a history and logic behind why this site operates as well as why it works so well. "Heads Up" is nothing more than G-E speak for "Must Read"! I can't see the admins or the site owner ever telling anyone what is important. They're just not that kind of people.
Just a couple of thoughts. |

Thak you Lee. You stated it quite well. "Heads Up" is nothing more than an important notice that all G-E members should read. Keeps members up to date & may even answer some of their questions. In the beginning this site, it was used alot, but time has passed & it is rarely used now.

Shane. If you would please, I'll answer all questions in the next post. Hopefully.

The "Heads up everyone" title was used so that everyone hopefully would read & understand what was going on with the site. It was a way to get information out to the members, especially earlier on with the site development. I'm not going to go into all the specifics. Most if not all are covered in the "Heads up everyone" posts. Read them please & if there is a question. Always ask.
